Sunder Nursery

We are delighted to share an exciting adventure that our students recently embarked upon—a memorable field trip to Sunder Nursery. This educational excursion was organized to provide our young learners, a unique opportunity to connect with nature and foster an appreciation for the environment.

Sunder Nursery is renowned for its rich biodiversity, making it an ideal location for an educational excursion. Its extensive collection of plant species, including rare and endangered ones, provides a unique opportunity for students to explore and learn about the diversity of flora. Sunder Nursery is steeped in history, with its origins dating back to the 16th century. It has been painstakingly restored, showcasing the Mughal-era architecture and gardens. It offers an excellent platform for hands-on learning about botany, horticulture, and environmental science. Our students had the privilege of observing and interacting with a wide variety of plants, which enhances their understanding of the natural world.

The day began with a visit to the enchanting Lotus Garden within Sunder Nursery. Students had the chance to witness the vibrant colors and serene beauty of this aquatic paradise. It was a moment of tranquillity and wonder as they observed the lotus blooms. From the Lotus Garden, our young explorers ventured into the fragrant world of the Rose Garden. Amidst a sea of roses in various shades and sizes, students discovered the diversity and elegance of these magnificent flowers. They learned about the care and cultivation of roses, gaining insights into horticulture.

The workshop at the Sparrow Nest, conducted by the Eco Foundation under the guidance of India's renowned "Nest Man," Mr. Rakesh, aligns perfectly with our school's commitment to environmental education. It provided our students with valuable insights into bird conservation and the importance of preserving ecosystems. The art of creating safe habitats for our feathered friends. This hands-on experience of nest making left a lasting impact on our students, inspiring them to be responsible stewards of the environment. Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Rakesh and the Eco Foundation for their guidance and support during this adventure.

Sunder Nursery stands as a shining example of sustainable urban development. It showcases eco-friendly landscaping and water conservation techniques, offering students a valuable lesson in sustainable practices that they can carry with them into the future.

Choosing the right destination for a school field trip is a decision that requires careful consideration. We are excited to share the reasons behind our choice of Sunder Nursery as the perfect location for our recent educational outing.

The journey to Sunder Nursery was as much a part of the adventure as the destination itself. Students travelled together by bus, sharing stories, laughter, and excitement along the way. It was a bonding experience that added to the overall enjoyment of the trip.

The field trip to Sunder Nursery was not only a fun-filled day but also an educational experience that instilled a deeper understanding of nature and its beauty. Workshop at Sparrow Nest by Eco Foundation: One of the highlights of the trip was a workshop at the Sparrow Nest organized by the Eco Foundation. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Rakesh, also known as India's "Nest Man," students learned about the importance of bird conservation and the art of creating safe habitats for our feathered friends. This hands-on experience of nest making left a lasting impact on our students, inspiring them to be responsible stewards of the environment. Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Rakesh and the Eco Foundation for their guidance and support during this adventure.

To commemorate this wonderful day and to encourage our students to nurture their connection with nature, each student received a sapling as a token of love. These saplings symbolize the importance of caring for our environment and the responsibility we all share in preserving it for future generations. We hope that this field trip will inspire our students to continue exploring the natural world around them and to become ambassadors for conservation in their own right. We look forward to more such enriching experiences in the future.

In conclusion, Sunder Nursery was chosen as the destination for our field trip due to its unique blend of historical significance, biodiversity, educational opportunities, and commitment to environmental conservation.
