The energy and enthusiasm radiated through the air as DPS Modinagar hosted its first Annual Sports Day, 'Aarohan.' The entire school, from the youngest faces of Nursery to the spirited students of Grade 7, made this event a spectacular showcase of talent and sportsmanship. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students showcased their enthusiasm for sports.The school grounds transformed into a vibrant arena and echoed with cheers and applause as students participated in various races and showcased their athletic prowess. The spirit of healthy competition blended with a sense of camaraderie and emphasized the importance of teamwork.
The distinguished Chief Guest of our event was Mrs. Dolly Chanana (the Joint Director, DPS Society). She brought a touch of enchantment to the event with her presence. The special guests of the event were Mr. Vipin Rana (International Pistol Shooter), Mr. Gourav Choudhary (Fencing Champion), Dr. Vikram Gandhi (Founder, DPS Modinagar), Mrs. Anisha Gandhi, Dr. Arshya Gandhi, Mrs. Jyoti Saxena (Principal, DPS Modinagar), Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal (Principal, IDST) and Dr. Achint Juneja (Vice Principal, IDST). Our guests added a spark to the event with their distinguished presence. Together, with the presence of our eminent guests, we contributed to make the occasion truly memorable and inspiring for all the attendees.
The young stars from grade nursery to second took center ground with their vibrant and energetic seasonal drill. They gracefully depicted the beauty of summer, winter, rainy and spring seasons. Accompanied by lively music, the students transformed the school ground into a visual spectacle.
The students represented Garnet, Topaz, Emerald and Sapphire houses and orchestrated a splendid march past during the event. Led with precision and flair, the procession was spearheaded by Digamber Tyagi (Head Boy) and Yadavi Gupta (Head Girl).

The Chief Guest, Mrs Dolly Chanana inaugurated the sports meet by releasing a cascade of balloons, symbolizing the start of the event and added a touch of festivity to the atmosphere. Following this delightful opening ceremony, she delivered an inspiring speech and motivated the students. Her words resonated deeply and sparked excitement among the students. The Chief Guest's impactful message served as a catalyst, inspired the participants to channel their energy and efforts towards achieving success in the various sports events.
Students charged forward with marshal, symbolizing the commencement of the event. The spirited run not only marked the official beginning but also exemplified the power and unity in the world of sports. This energetic start set the tone for a day filled with determination, teamwork and a celebration of the collective spirit of the participants.
The dance performances at AAROHAN left spectators spellbound, as students displayed remarkable talent, precision, and creativity. Among the standout acts were the cloth drill and pom-pom dance routines, each leaving an indelible mark on the audience. Through their dedication, passion, and artistic expression, they transported us to a world of beauty and creativity.
The pom-pom dance, characterized by its infectious energy and dynamic choreography. Toddlers adorned with vibrant pom-poms electrified the stage with their rhythmic movements and lively expressions. The pulsating beats combined with the dancers' enthusiasm created an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration.
These performances showcased not only the technical prowess of our dancers but also their ability to evoke emotion and captivate audiences.
Fierce races and intense matches were truly exciting. From the adrenaline rush of sprinting across the finish line to the strategic maneuvers on the chessboard, every moment was a testament to the unwavering spirit of our athletes.
Dr. Vikram Gandhi, the pro vice-chancellor of DPS Modinagar, presided over the prize distribution ceremony, where he bestowed awards upon deserving students and extended heartfelt congratulations.
Beyond the winners' podium, it was the spirit of participation that truly shone through. Every student who took part in aarohan contributed to the vibrant tapestry of our school's sporting culture. Their willingness to step up, challenge themselves, and support their peers exemplified the values of teamwork, resilience, and inclusivity.
