Grade 6 students embarked on an immersive journey into the captivating realm of electric circuits through a hands-on activity. The primary aim was to introduce them to the foundational principles of electricity and circuits in a dynamic and interactive manner. The activity commenced with a brief overview of electric circuits, during which students shared their existing knowledge and experiences with electricity. Following this, they were organized into small groups and provided with essential materials, including batteries, light bulbs, wires, and cardboard. Each group was entrusted with the task of assembling a basic electric circuit on a cardboard platform. With palpable excitement and collaborative spirit, they meticulously arranged the components, establishing connections between the battery, wires, and light bulb, and eagerly observed the circuit's functionality as it came to life.
